Open Vistas |
Transitioning from the upper slope to the lower areas of the key line, one can see the section of the property being undisturbed and protected as the wildlife corridor. There is a well traveled elk trail that crosses the property through the corridor and they are often seen in the early morning or in the evening hours, meandering their way across the land. In the fall during their mating season they put on quite a concert with their bugling. |

Observation Point |
Surrounded by two mountain ridges, Observation Point is a sacred space offering a peaceful retreat for reflection. From elevated views one can connect to the open meadows and wildlife corridor below. We feel blessed to live on this tall pine covered property. |

Visions of Wildflowers |
Yarrow, asters, prairie thistles, penstemons and a host of wildflowers and native shrubs envelope the landscape with color from summer to late fall. |
Fall Color |
Truly a place with four seasons, the fall color is stunning. We’ve put great thought and effort into seeing that all the improvements on the property blend with the natural environment and interact in a way that draws a person from one “attractor point” to the next…...wondering what’s next encourages curiosity and expansiveness and facilitates leaving the world behind and focusing inward. With private nooks and sitting areas strategically placed within the flow, there is a quality of nurturance and an opportunity to step out and be reflective. Surrounded by all this natural beauty, it’s difficult not to have an enhanced sense of awareness and calm. |

Rock Terracing |
Bordering the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest lands, high on the northern property slope, multi levels of rock terracing grace the hillside. Preventing soil erosion and utilizing natural water flow brings to life the uniqueness of this small micro-climate allowing for the growth of gamble oak, white oak, pinion, ponderosa pine, manzanita, several varieties of yucca, prickly pear cactus and agaves. This hillside also hosts regular visits by the Great Horned Toad, a beautiful little reptile now on the endangered species list. |
Summer Meadow |
During the summer season the wind whispers and the trees dance in the breeze. Wildflowers nod and turn towards the sun with gentle receptivity. |
A Winter Wonderland |
We’re blessed to have “Christmas Card” views surrounding us whenever mother earth blankets us with snow. The air is crisp and clean with cold mornings but normally the sun warms up the day, often melting the snows within a day or two. |
Wildlife Corridor |
Gentle slopes and open meadows offer “Ponderosa Park” views. This scattering of tall, old ponderosas surrounded by open meadow spaces is the ideal balance for a healthy southwest ponderosa pine forest. |

Sandstone Stairwell |
“The gift of a connection with nature is the ability to communicate with and benefit from the great wisdom that awaits you there.” These massive stone steps lead down to the rock alcove below where the sweat lodge is located. As one descends the stairs entering a protected and sacred space, there is an inner knowing of the ceremonies and healings that have taken place here. |
